Non-emergency and records routing: 601-764-2588
For a booking record, identify the person's full name, approximate arrest date, arresting agency, and arrest number if known. Ask the records custodian for the jail-docket entry, booking sheet, and any electronic booking photograph that is maintained and releasable.
Court and Case Records
Jail status does not decide a case. The Jasper County courts page describes the local court system, while the Circuit Clerk supplies district contacts for criminal filings. The First Judicial District is P.O. Box 58, Paulding, MS 39348, 601-727-4941. The Second Judicial District is P.O. Box 447, Bay Springs, MS 39422, 601-764-2245.
Give the clerk a full name, approximate filing date, and case number if available. A booking charge can change before a court disposition, so ask the appropriate court or clerk about current case status.
Other Custody Systems
Use the Mississippi Department of Corrections for state custody or supervision questions. The Federal Bureau of Prisons locator and the ICE detainee locator cover separate federal systems. A result, or no result, in one system does not establish a person's status in the others.
